Load transfer system – Description

Experience the efficiency and innovation of our fully automated load transfer system. This system can seamlessly integrate various components, such as:

  • roller conveyors;
  • slip sheet dispensers;
  • pallet stackers;
  • labeling machines;
  • film cutting stations;
  • load centering devices.

Handling up to 100 pallets per hour, our automatic pallet exchanger ensures rapid and smooth pallet transfers. It incorporates cutting-edge L.T.S. (Load Transfer System) technology. It also features two high-capacity pallet stackers, each with a capacity of 20 pallets.

Our machinery includes a shuttle moving structure that operates in two directions, facilitating the logistics system sequences.

Toppy’s load transfer system also includes an automatic pneumatic centering system. This system features two-side plates with gentle foam padding, which hold the product at the center of the original pallet. This ensures a safe pallet exchange, keeping both inbound and outbound products securely in place during the process.

Mobile Pallet Changer: Best versatility

If you’re in need of a portable solution, consider exploring our mobile pallet changer called “Falcon Wings.” This innovative machine (newly patented) provides convenient pallet changing capabilities on the go.

Load transfer system – Description of the cycle

This load transfer system is capable of handling different types of pallets. The following cycle description pertains to a one-way operation, specifically from an origin GMA pallet to a destination CHEP pallet:

          Initial phases
  1. The load on the original GMA pallet that needs replacement is placed onto the receiving deck (A) of the Toppy L.T.S. (Load Transfer System) using a forklift.

  2. The bottom platform of the pallet stacker is on the central receiving deck.

  3. The operator releases the product on the original pallet onto the receiving deck, initiating the cycle.

  4. The two side plates close to stabilize the product during the pallet change cycle.

  5. The GMA platform moves in the direction of the pallet stacker, in sync with the plate’s movement. Simultaneously, the pallet dispenser releases a destination CHEP pallet onto its bottom platform. This platform, carrying the CHEP pallet, follows the plate’s movement to position the receiving CHEP pallet under the plate within the Toppy L.T.S. receiving deck (A).

  6. The product is now above the receiving deck plate.

          Final phases
  1. Beneath the receiving deck plate, the bottom platform of the destination pallet stacker has positioned the empty CHEP pallet correctly to receive the load.

  2. The two side plates open slightly, allowing the product to descend gently onto the receiving CHEP pallet in a controlled manner. The two side plates then close to stabilize and center the product on the destination CHEP pallet. Meanwhile, the original GMA pallet is stacked within the pallet stacker.

  3. The destination CHEP pallet has replaced the GMA pallet. The CHEP pallet now supports the load, and a forklift can pick it up. The original GMA pallet is stacked in its designated pallet stacker.

  4. The bottom platform of the pallet stacker returns to its initial position on the central receiving deck, and the stacker bottom platform returns to its initial position. The Toppy L.T.S. (Load Transfer System) is ready for a new cycle.
